Pastor Phillip Housdan
Bro. Philip has been in ministry since July of 2000. He was married to his lovely wife, Rhonda in November of 1992. They have a total of 5 kids; 2 of their own, Logan, Hailey, and the others, Brittany, Tim, Chevy, by different means. They have 3 grandkids, Addy, Easton, and Wrangler.
Bro. Philip’s first day as Pastor of Cypress Avenue Baptist Church was April 17, 2022, which was Easter that year. They moved from Ozark, AR where they lived for the previous 25 years, which is also where Rhonda grew up. He loves to study the Bible, teaching and preaching, and reading all kinds of books, with a great love for the outdoors in experiencing God’s creation. He and Rhonda have a heart for reaching the next generations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, staying active with the youth in summer camps, serving opportunities, and fellowship gatherings, while at the same time trying to reach people of all ages, knowing that God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness of sin is intended for all, and that God desires a personal relationship with each of us through His Son Jesus Christ.
